Big Bass Bash - Lake
of the Ozarks, MO - September 8-9, 2007
Story courtesy of
7/24 Outdoors, written by
Eric Nance
The day started off with almost a total of 800 entries just showing
how well the tournament is being ran and how well everyone is
enjoying fishing them. We need to thank
Midwest Fish Tournaments for the very well ran tournaments. The
majority of the fish being weighed was in the mid 4lb range in to
the upper 5lb range that seemed to be the average. With the
exception of a few that were brought in and the following top 3 bass
overall will tell you. The majority of the fish seemed to be caught
on jigs and 10inch worms with the exception of a few on DD22's and
spinnerbaits. The word at the weighin though the fishing was tough
and the fish are scattered as their in the transition for the fall.
The top 3 overall winners of the tournament are as follows.
1st Place Richard Gaik, with his 6.26lb fish weighed in 9:00am on
Saturday. He was fishing the Osage River near the 45mm his fish came
on a 3/8 Brown and Green jig. This is a new jig that they are
putting on the market and you can find them at
www.knuckledownlures.com. They were on just a ordinary chunk
rock bank about halfway back in the cove fishing 4-6ft of water when
Richard caught the fish. Congratulations Richard that fish was
good for $30,000.Richard was
using a 3/8 oz Knuckle Buster Flippin Jig
in
Brown and Green Pumpkin (color now available in all Knuckle Down
jig patterns as the "$30k jig").
